Crack in porcelain sink pedestal

SLS Construction & Building Solutions LLC on Feb 22, 2016Your best bet is you don't - replace it With that they have enamel products meant for applying over it - a lot just depends on where it is located & solving the issue that caused itHelpful Reply

Mary E. Sines on Feb 22, 2016Replace it. The "repair" for it wont last and I would hate to see the pedestal break apart while someone is using the sink.Helpful Reply

Barbara Lowell on Feb 22, 2016I would research industrial strength epoxies, years ago they used to advertise gluing really heavy things onto a wall. You would have to if possible use the injection method so you are healing the crack deeply, and not just surface. Surely whatever you use, keep your eye on it because there is stress somewhere, and it can then break somewhere else. Worth an experiment. I have things I have glued for years, others don't hold up to Florida heat and moisture. We live in a throwaway society and so many times we can repair, not jump replace for instant gratification. I admire that you are looking for a solution rather than quick to do a replacement..Helpful Reply

Lavonne on Feb 22, 2016I had a crack in a porcelain sink. I used a two part epoxy product that I would at Home Depot. It comes in colors. I haven't had any problems with leakage or more cracks.Helpful Reply

Charles Prock on Feb 22, 2016There are usually companies that repair the ceramic and match the color very well....I would rather spend the $ and not notice it againHelpful Reply
