The shower diverter knob is stuck in the shower position. I can't move it to change the water to come out of the faucet. Any clues?

Try vinegar. Let it soak for awhile. If the diverter is on the spout put some vinegar in a plastic bag and rubber band it over the spout so the vinegar is making contact with the diverter.

Same problem here , I used some WD-40, helped but still hard to get up and down , will try the vinegar

if you have an external hose to the shower head unscrew it & push up with a screwdriver from underneath- then use some very thin machine oil to oil up the mechanism-luck

Thank you for the suggestions but this doesn't answer my question because My diverter knob is on the wall and it has separate hot and cold knobs on ether side.
