Do you mud around a bullnose corner bead?
I’m using a metal bullnose corner bead to finish some drywall and I’m not sure if I’m supposed to leave the metal exposed or
wrap the joint compound around the entitle bead. (I know I have to mud the flat section that sits on the drywall, I’m asking about the actual bullnose area) thanks!

Yes, you do use compound on the bead. You will need to apply more than one coat.
You will want to mud it and smooth, then reapply until you are happy with the results. Normally it takes me around 3 applications.
