Try to Google it, usually there is someone who does that type of finish, but if you have popcorn ceiling - and depending on size of room - it might be an opportunity to remove the popcorn yourself. It's a messy job but can be done by homeowner. Then have someone come in to do smooth ceiling finish. It's hard to match finish with a patch.
We had this problem. It was covered by our house insurance, so we hired professionals. ma yours is too.

Plaster is not dry’all at all!? It’s that old old school plaster on top of LATHE (slats( on walls and ceilings – believe it or not, this house was built in 1950 and they used plaster! I have been googling and researching and can’t get much good advice – but my sister just told me I need to watch Rehab Addict star Nicole Curtis because that amazing young lady fixes holes and water damage in plaster ceilings all the time!
