How do I repair cracks on plaster walls?

Hello I have an older home from 1932. It still has plaster walls. There are cracks in the walls. What would we the best way to repair the cracks. I cannot afford to tearout the plaster, lath, and then put up drywall. Not in my budget just lost my husband to cancer. I have no budget.

    Try textured paintable wallpaper. Found some at either Home Depot or Lowes. Good luck.

    Sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. You could use a silicone caulk to repair it. Since it “stretches” a bit it’ll give a bit as your older home moves and settles. It can easily be touched up with paint.

    Terry,. There's no time to lose a love one, but the holidays are the worst. I lost my mom in 1982 to pancreatic cancer, so sorry for your loss. You need some professional advice. I'd go to your library, see someone at the reference desk. Ask them you want books on home repair. These books cover almost everything in home repair. Sit and look through the books, check the back of the book what your looking for. Jot the page down and see what it is. If you want to take out a book or books, you can get a library card with a driver's license. Aloha!
