You really need a structural engineer for this. It is easy to take certain cues from the structure and come to a wrong conclusion.
If the home has a basement, one way to find out is to go down to the basement and see if the wall continues to go all the way down to the basement floor in exactly the same place. If not, then the wall is not load bearing.

If a Wall has another wall immediately above it, then it is Load Bearing. If the wall is solid (Knock on the wall to see if it sounds hollow or solid) If Solid - then it's a Load Bearing Wall. If it is more than 4.5" thick - then it is Load Bearing wall.............Hope that helps...
