How do I figure out why corner of basement wall gets wet when rain?

I have checked gutters, downspouts....which end daylight about 40 ft away from house......there is a sidewalk at that corner with a small strip of land that butts up to the house. I have also resloped the ground there added river rock and just not sure what to check next?? Don't think its French drains because it starts in the middle of the wall and will travel down. No puddles on floor just get damp cement blocks. Any thoughts??

This will help you figure out what the problem is and then what you can do about it- you got this!!!
I would ask first of all, which wall is this? Do you have drain spouts aiming at this wall? Or do you have flower beds, or a garden on this wall? If so, the water from watering, is fighting against the drainage problem. The garden area, should be AWAY from the house, on a back area, away from the house, to prevent this from happening. What is immediately behind the wall at the point it gets wet? Bathroom? Could be a leak in the plumbing or the Heating system or water tank etc.
