How do you cover an unfinished wall that had drywall that was removed?

To repair a leak behind the wall. We are renters.

No we’re renting. It was a finished basement, but she took the drywall down to repair a leak and doesn’t plan to replace during the first year lease. I was looking for ideas to cover it up. It’s one large wall from floor to ceiling. A piece of furniture won’t do it. I was thinking a curtain, but don’t know how I would attach it.

Oh I see. What about some conduit as a curtain rod attached to the ceiling? Or something sturdier like rebar? Maybe artfully use a tree branch as a rod, staple the curtain to the wall framing, or attach a stick of lumber across and staple to that. Drop cloths in the paint section are big and inexpensive.

use toggle bolt/screw in plant hooks either in ceiling along wall or at top of wall along ceiling or coat hooks and long pieces of rebar to hold canvas painters tarps use clip style curtain hooks to hold the tarp(no sewing needed) onto the rebar

That’s a really good idea. Would I need a staple gun to get through the wood?? I’m assuming rebar is a type of hook or bar or rope?? I’m really a newbie to this.
