How do you remove wallpaper from paneling?
Years ago we covered wood paneling with wallpaper, now the wallpaper is drying up and we do not know if we can remove it or paint over it.
Why was it removed? Can you share a photo?

Hi Licy. Is there something that you can nail into? You could also put up a bead board or shiplap.
Can you put drywall back up? Why not make it a design element and paint it to match the room? Or add wall panels to cover it.
Do you have anything to nail to at the ceiling (on the wall)? Then I would get some bed sheets or painters tarp and just nail it onto the wall. You could put some trim at the top to hide the nails but it would be a cheap, easy thing to do. You could even get some pattered sheets to be fancy. I am assuming your landlord doesn't want to put dry wall back up because he wants the wall to dry out from the leak.
