How do you fix textured drywall tape and mud that is cracking?
Just bought a home and all the joints where it has tape and mud are cracking along the edges of where it was taped. How do you fix this and match the texture that is on the walls already?

Personally I remove the old tape, and I suggest you use mesh tape, and then mud over it with joint compound. Sand smooth, then you can buy various textures in a spray can from Homex to try and match it.
Sharon is correct in removing the tape and using mesh drywall tape. Put on drywall compound. Use a stiff paint brush, sponge, bunched up plastic grocery bag and pounce the compound gently to duplicate the texture.
Home Depot sells the stuff in a can you just spray on
