How go you fix small holes in walls of very old log cabin.

    I would use some clear silicon caulk, dig around one first and make sure bugs haven't attacked it.... if so you may need it sprayed.

    I had to respond to this. My first cousin has a log cabin on her property that she said was built as a chicken house, but has never been used for that. You may have to increase this photo on your screen. This is what they found in a hole in the log cabin wall. 😇

    That's a big hole! snake home? I lived in log cabins in Canada for 20 years, and before that summers in New England.

    Wood filler from there hardware section. It's made with sawdust in it, dries hard, comes in multiple color choices and can be stained.

    I would get some wooden dowels as close to the size or perhaps a little larger than the hole. Hammer them in the hole, then saw off as close to the original log, may have to do a little sanding to get them rounded correctly. Then put a little stain to match your logs.
