I live in a condo that I own, sometimes I can hear the neighbors TV, music, dog barking. How can I soundproof this common wall? Thanks for any ideas.

Without tearing the wall apart and putting in a sound proofing insulation, the only thing I can suggest is to hang a tapestry type of decoration or place a large piece of furniture (armoire, entertainment unit, wardrobe) on the wall to provide a bit of a barrier
there are acoustical panels at one of the big box diy stores.
Pit bookshelves along the wall. See if your condo will allow you to use blown-in insulation. Or add soundprooflong walls on your side. Add another layer of drywall on your side. Get a white noise machine
you have 2 options. The first would involve removing the old wall covering and putting in sound proof insulation, Probably not much there to start. The second would be to add a wall over the existing wall using a sound proofing setup. You can find information on You Tube on how to sound proof a wall.
Cork Squares?
Adding a wall of bookcases would break up the noise. I put my china buffet on the common wall and I don't hear the neighbor or their 3 small dogs. Now the upstairs neighbors, that's the problem. You can't 'insulate" the ceiling.

There are panels that can be placed on the floors and walls of a home that absorb sound. These are called sound absorbing panels and they do not let sound pass from one space to another.

There are numerous ways you can block unwanted noise from entering your home, however, i recommend checking out this site for more details: https://soundproofwiz.com
Hello, Rita. There are different ways you can soundproof a wall from external noise. But now that you live in a condo, I assume that you're not the owner and so some soundproofing methods won't work for you. For example, if the landlord doesnt allow modification done to the existing structure. Soundproofing methods that require major changes to the wall wont apply in this case.
Some simple hacks you can try are
rearranging furniture
Using soundproof curtains
Heavy moving blankets
Soundproof Wallpapers
and so much more.
If you want a detailed guide of each please do visit this website
Thank you :)
