  Ok well it's where my husband removed a half wall during ower remodeling proses and now it is a eye sore we thought of covering it with a fake beem but I have never put one up before so need suggestions

  This will require a little drywall work. Without photos, none of us can tell you the best route to take. It depends on the extent of the damage and the final finished product that you want to match

Stephanie, is this just a water stain from a repaired leak? If so, cover it with Kilz and then paint.
