Check the building codes in your area, some states require electrical work to be completed by a licensed electrician. If you are allowed to do the work yourself, and you have experience in electrical wiring, then digging the trench is easy. First, purchase all the 12-2 underground wiring you will need {plus an extra 30ft to go down from the power box in the house, across to the beginning of the ditch, up out of the ditch to the ceiling in the garage and from the ceiling light fixture to a switch and outlet on the wall}, enough conduit to span the entire length of the ditch plus up the wall in the garage {the wire must be put inside the conduit to keep all the rodents, etc. from damaging it}, dig a ditch with a shovel, or a trench with a trencher, at least 2ft deep. Now comes the best part; again, if you don't have any experience doing electrical wiring, hire an electrician to do the job - you can watch him/her and help them to learn pointers for later. If you do have the experience, simply turn off the electricity to the breaker you are going to use for the new wiring, then wire in the light, outlet, switch, etc., turn on the electricity, and enjoy the light.

Thank you for answering. Yes I will get an electrician for this. Hopefully this won’t cost me a billion dollars😊.
