Lights kinda flicker

When we run the washer, the lights sort of "flicker" not fast, but in the beat with the washer. At first it was minor, now it is pretty prominent... Do I need an electrician? Do I need my 50 year old home re-wired?

i am betting that is a yes. likely the wires have been compromised and the washer is working the connections loose.

Check all your cords, etc., Then, if the washer cord isn't sitting on a cord, you might want call an electrician. Hope this helps.

We had a similar problem... and Yes.. you will need to have an Electrician come out and look at the problem... ours was just a bad breaker on the laundry room circuit... but your problem could be different.. go on HomeAdvisor.com or AngiesList.com and find an Electrician or Electrical Contractor... who will help fix the problem the first time... with out padding the bill unnecessarily.

Have you checked your light bulbs? Have they worked loose in the socket?

Get an electrician. This is dangerous and can cause a fire. The lights and washer are on the same circuit breaker and it isn't able to handle the electrical load. Actually the washer and dryer should be on their own dedicated breaker with nothing else on it.
