Jaed it could be your starter that's gone bad. In one of the cars I once owned the same thing happened, so I had to have it towed to the mechanic and he had to replace the starter. After that it was fine.

you may have to jump start it...

  • How old is it? Batteries do have a limited life cycle.

It sounds like your starter is need of replacing .

Before I went to the expense of replacing a battery, I'd see if it is holding a charge. You may be charging it, and it says full, but doesn't hold the charge.

The second thing I'd do is look at the battery cables. Even though you've cleaned the ends of the cables, the corrosion can go deeper into the cables and they will need to be replaced. You can tell the wire inside the rubber coating is corroded because the coating will look lumpy.

I'd then take the battery to a auto store to have it checked out and buy a new one if needed. Only after those things are done, would I replace the starter.

I had the same problem. I cleaned and did everything, but it did not start. I had to change the battery. Here is a good choice. I have now Mighty Max Battery. I recommend. https://golf-hook.com/reviews/best-golf-cart-batteries/
