There is a product called a Little Gray Box that regulates the amont of time your hot water tank is on. So that saves you electricity.
We put one on our water tank about 20 years ago. The tank only runs twice a day for about 2 hours each time. So it runs for 4 hours out of 24. Paid for itself in the first year.
Non of these units work. There is nothing that plugs in to cut your electric bill. The concept is they have capacitors to store power and release it when a switch is turned on. Total garbage. Use you electricity wisely. Turn of lights when not in use. Turn off accessories and appliances that are not needed. Replace light bulbs with LED bulbs.
Those are not proven to work
I agree with William, if you look up the independent reviews, they are just a flashing light or a capacitor, it uses more electricity than it saves.
Hi! I recently read about a device like you're asking about. The reports I read made it sound like a waste of money. Using power strips to control small appliances, tvs etc. Don't leave everything "on" all the time and you will save money. Your local utility usually offers energy audits and simple methods for saving energy. Good luck!
