I don't think just painting will help if the base fabric is peeling. But how about this.....sand paper the peeling part to get as much of the peeling off as possible. Then use Mod Podge applied with a small 1" paint brush to seal the fabric and level the surface. Then paint away! What have you got to lose?
great idea! thank you
if your a patient person you could sit a peel of the vinyl is the entire couch peeling of just the cushions if only cushions i would make new contrasting colored covers
What you need is a hot air gun! Sand off any large pieces, just to keep the project as smooth as possible. Then smooth out the entire piece with the hot gun. Then spray paint away! When looking for your vinyl spray paint, be sure to check your local automotive store, they have a great selection
Love this idea! way better than the upholster... I don't think I am ready to tackle that!
