How do I repair spots on the mirror of my bathroom medicine cabinet?

how do i fix a bathroom medicine cabinet mirror that is getting brown spots along the edges? i painted all around on the beveled edges with metallic silver paint, but i don’t like the way it looks. i also tried etching over a spot first (with a stencil border), but it didn’t hide the spots.

Moisture has gotten behind the silvering. No way to repair. All you can do is frame the mirror with wood, tile, glass beads, mosaic tile, etc.
