How do I make scratches Temporarily less noticeable on my faux granite

I bought a used faux granite kitchen table; I really like it. There is some type of finish on top of the faux granite like polyurethane, veneer, etc that is where the scratches are and they actually look more like big smudges. I have tried different cleaners to no avail.
Thanks for your suggestions!
These pics don't really show the scratches and smudges very well
This one show one smudge smear.

I'm not familiar with faux granite but wondering if you could buff it with a very soft brush?? This may not be an option but something worth looking into. without knowing fir sure what the counter is made of, I'm not sure what type of brush would work and not scratch it. I'm guessing one that's almost like a mop head that's super soft.

Is that formica? Nothing will help. If it's a poured, molded fiberglass substance like bath sinks and shower enclosures, it can be sanded and polished. I'dd call a company that makes fiberglass sinks for bathrooms and ask them to look at it. Might be more expensive than replacing the tabletop, however. Hey--there's an idea. Ask them to make you a replacement. (?)

I just looked at your picture again, and I think your table may be soapstone. Real stone, but softer than granite. My daughter has one, and it has the same type of smudges. Also gets water marks on it from glasses. Is it cold (not just cool) to the touch, like granite or marble? if it is, you probably have soapstone. In the big-box stores, they have stone cleaners and sealers. Soapstone needs to be specially cleaned and sealed occasionally. It is very porous, and absorbs liquid, unlike harder stones. Thats what causes the smudges. Also, are you sure it's not marble? Marble is also porous, unlike granite, so, same cleaning and sealing process as for soapstone. Hope this has helped. You should Google soapstone and marble care--that's how I learned all this, before choosing my own counter top material.

Have you tried a granite cleaner by Zep? You can find it at Home Depot.

No but it is not granite; it's fake granite with a clear glossy finish on top and that finish is what is scratched/smudged. Thanks.

so what kind of crayon & just draw on top of all the marks? Do you leave it on for a specific amount of time? Then just rub off with a clean cloth?
