How to fix missing mouldings
Hello. It might depend on your level of crafting abilities I had done it with both wood filler putty and epoxy putty freehand carving with some small tools. Somethings like nutcrackers are other sculptures I might even use self hardening clay.
Others do you make silicon cast molds to replicate missing trim pieces.

you didn't show us what piece you are talking about could you post a picture?
A photo would be helpful. There is a furniture wood working type store by us and we have gone there for special wooden pieces we've needed, etc. If there is something like that in your area it may be helpful or they may be able to advise you on how to fix it.

My husband just did this today. He used a two part epoxy to glue on any loose pieces and with two part putty he sculpted back the missing part. When it dries he will sand it and then paint it.
You could putty and form one you could make out of plaster or compound form on the piece it self and let dry you might need a couple of coats it shrinks
Hi Peddy, we make a 2-ingredient mold using this recipe - https://acraftymix.com/blog/two-ingredient-mold/. You can use it to create a mold of an unbroken piece and then use it to cast a new piece using putty.
Can you use wood putty?
Hi! Hot glue over a part that is like a missing one can help you make a simple mold that you can then fill with clay, putty, etc.
