How to stop a reclining chair from sliding??
I posted this question earlier, but neglected to say the chair is on carpet!
Thank you for posting some suggestions, but still wondering.
The chair has a round wooden base & slides on the carpet every time we sit down. Thanks again

Can you put a mat under it? One of those mats made for carpet with the small prongs (for want of another word).. Might have to fasten chair base to the mat but worth a try.
Try putting some stick on felt pads around the edges of the base
Hi! Rubbermaid makes a mesh type shelf liner that keeps things from sliding. We used to put it under wheel chair cushions to keep them from sliding forward. A roll is a small investment. Good luck!
If you want to stop your recliner from sliding on carpets, this is literally the go-to solution. You can find furniture grippers on Amazon or in local hardware stores everywhere. Usually, they sell in sets of four and up and can cost anywhere between $3 and $15. What you do with them is affix one to each of the recliner’s legs. Naturally, make sure the non-sliding side of the gripper is facing away from the leg, where the floor should be. If affixed properly, your chair should not move from the carpet.
Or if you don't want to spend the money on these make your own.
Try an anti-slip mat under the base.
I'd glue some rubber on the bottom of the gliders - it will add some friction so it can't move so easily on the carpet. Maybe something like this: https://amzn.to/2UxaInG
Go to Home Depot they sell rubber tape to put on the legs of the chair that will help it not slide as much if not stop it
I agree I would try one of those sticky mats that you can purchase to keep rugs from sliding around. A little one just under the glider should help!
Hello. I often use thrift store (washed spray sanitized) yoga mats to prevent slipping or padding in many home areas. Great thickness economical price.
It helps my dog not to slide in the back of the suv.
Try cutting up some grippy shelf liners or a no-slip rug pad and slip pieces under it.
