Have you tried rubbing alcohol, Goo Gone or WD40 yet?
Janet's video is great. Peel off what you can. I would use some stiff plastic like a credit card to get under an edge. For the adhesive residue try using Goo Gone or WD40.
Goo Gone should be able to handle that !
pure lemon essential oil is a great adhesive remover.
rubbing alchol is least exspense
Razor blade after getting as much off with goo-gone as you can first.
Pick up a bottle of BoatLIFE's Release. It works on the BOND between the surface and the strips and won't harm the tub! Just spray where the strips meet the tub, don't bother spraying the surface of the strips cause you'll only be eating product. Release is a little pricey, but works great!
Hear with a hair dryer and pull like crazy after you have loosened a corner with a putty knife. If it is a cast iron tub you may can use a rum whilst heat gun to get a little more heat on the subject. I wouldn't try the heat gun in an acrylic tub... may bubble the surface.
