How to repair ripped arm rests on upholstered arm chairs

I have two arm chairs (fitting with the couch). The arm rests are worn and ripped a bit.
How can I repair them without upholstering the whole chair?

Could you provide a picture and I could give you few tips how to do it.

If the chairs are arranged in the room with their backs unseen, then you could cut the fabric from the back and use that to recover the arms. I did this with a couch and it worked just fine.

Make covers for the arms in a fabric and color that goes with the chair color. Just follow the line of the arms to make your pattern. Kay. Clayton, NC
