It sounds like the drawer guides (sliders) are mounted too far back in the cabinet. When drawer guides are installed properly there is a little ‘pull’ that holds them closed. If they are too deep in the cabinet the drawer doesn’t have that pull to keep them closed.
Or the cabinets aren't level. Maybe the are lower in front a little bit.

they aren't level maybe from leaning on front of them when they are open. Sliders need realigned
