Rub a candle along the runners or spray with WD40

Try a bar of soap or wax candle to rub then down. You may need to sand a bit if that doesn't work. If the piece is old, it may have shifted or settled and is racked or no longer square. That would require you or a professional to take apart some pieces and reassemble.

if they are wood pull them out use a bar of soap to rub a coating along the track guid on the drawer and inside the dresser if the guide is metal use either WD40 or a grease lubricant and b sure to check the track for any dents or twists and be sure to line up the tracks and guides carefully then once you get it all the way back in open and close it a few times to be sure the soap or grease get all through the track or guide I hope this helps you

Rub a bar of soap or candle down the runners. I would skip the WD-40, it could leave greasy marks on your clothes if the touch the runners.

Hi Debbie, Try some furniture spray on a rag, then wipe the tracks of the draws. They should slide easy. Check that the tracks that are on the inside, and make sure their not loose. Aloha!

Try a couple coats of paste wax on the runners. Works great !!! It lasts for quite a while too. You can get paste wax at any hardware store. Good stuff !!
