They are parson type dining room chairs that are infrequently used. All of a sudden, they seem to be peeling and cracking. HELP!!!
I would reupholster your chairs. Remove the seats from your chairs and leave the leather on them. Find fabric that you like and cut larger than your seats. (You can remove the leather from one seat to make a template if you need). To reupholster seats you want to attach one side at the center of that side, (with a staple gun) then directly across from it you want to attach the opposite side after pulling just tight. Now do the same for the other two sides.
Working out from one side center at about
1 1/2" intervals you want to attach first one side and then diagonally across to the opposite side. Next go to the other side of the first center and repeat.
Then do the same on the other two sides. Continue in this fashion until you are 2 - 3" from the corners.
At the corners pull your fabric over the corner so that the corner of the fabric makes a triangle and point the tip toward the center of the seat, pulling taught and attach. Complete all corners and then finish pulling and attaching side fabric.
Hope that helps

If just the seats are leather, I would reupholster them. You can go to any fabric store. They should sell faux letter. Or change them with some really nice material.
