Wooden drawer slides on dresser drawers are worn away

The dresser is older, and cheap...no dovetails or anything, but I still would like to use it. The problem is the wooden piece that drawers slide on is worn away and the drawers won't go straight. Can this be fixed? Cheaply?

Yes it can be fixed. Remove the old slide/guide and remove one of your other ones from another drawer that works. You can do it yourself, or if you have someone available that has a router you can make an identical piece with a new piece of wood the same measurements as the old. OR you can buy new drawer glides and replace it but they would probably be metal. Hope this helps! Good Luck

rub with wax, bee wax is good, or wax used to seal home made jelly, even candle wax.

You can get new rails for pretty cheap at home depot.
