Teak furniture is made to last, but it requires some TLC every once in a while.

I've been putting of restoring my teak furniture for a year, but I finally decided to go for it. It's a simple three step process. It doesn't require a lot of skill, it just requires lots of elbow grease and time.

Before and After

Brush on Teak Cleaner

The first step is to brush on the teak cleaner or deck cleaner. You can buy teak cleaner at Home Depot or on Amazon. I recommend applying it with a brush.

Power wash the teak cleaner off

After the cleaner sits for 15 minutes it needs to be sprayed off. I used a power sprayer, but you could use a hose with a sprayer nozzle. This process takes a while either way.

Paint on Teak Oil

After you let the furniture dry out completely you can brush on teak oil. It might take two coats if the furniture is very thirsty like mine was.
