Marine glue.
You can buy cement sealer in a caulking tube.
I have used this and it was very effective. You can find it at a number of stores like Home Depot.

How about the new flex seal. Used it on mine and it worked great, just make sure it is dry. My daughter even used it to fix a hole in their boat and it worked great, still floating. Sometimes ads on tv do work lol
I would buy a shallow plastic plant tray and use it to line the birdbath. Then it won't leak. If it is sentimental, you don't want to do anything to it that would damage it further.
