Hi Judy. You can purchase an epoxy cement to repair it. Here is a link with step by step.

Judy, During the winter months, get a heavy plastic plant tray and put in there and fill that with water. I've had one crack before and didn't want the same thing to happen to my new one. It has been 3 winters and hasn't cracked yet.
use clear Flex seal, either tape or spray on or liquid. Works great,I used to seal roof of my enclosed trailer.
Perhaps using thin set might correct the problem or a rubber coating spread. You might have to read instructions to see if harmful at animals
I would check flex seal for they're warnings if not harmful. Quick fix.

Hi Judy, I had the same thing happen and spent an entire summer trying to fix it, to no avail. After wasting an entire summer I did some googling and found that many home stores carry 2 piece bird bath supplies, i picked up the saucer for 10 dollars, it's plain concrete, but you could paint it to match or leave it bare. That being said, you could also get creative and use other materials as the bowl for your bath. I have attached a link for you to check out.

I would use an epoxy to repair the crack.
I like the idea of clear flex seal, yes read the package to see if it poses a toxicity problem, you could call customer support if still unclear.
