Advice for a concrete driveway slab expansion joint repair?
Our concrete driveway on about a 35 degree hill has one slab second from the top that has 2-3 inch expansion joint gaps on both the top and the bottom side. The original wood expansion joint filler is gone. What is the best way to stabilize the slab against movement and correctly fill the expansion joints. (Fill first with rock, then sand, then expansion joint material? Use rebar in the bottom gap, then fill? Other? Call a concrete specialist?)
