I don't think you have to do anything to preserve your artificial outdoor wreath. Mine hangs outside in the snow, cold, and wind for about a month or so each year. I have used it for about 5 years now. The color has faded from the sun so it has taken on a slightly blue tinge and I will be replacing it this year. I can buy one a new one in the after Christmas clearance sales for 50%, 70%, 80% or 90% off and craft a new look for next year! If your wreath hangs outdoors out of the sun it will probably last longer.
Jan...I agree with Gk..I have used mine for years..the wreaths are great even now and I will occasionally change the ribbons. I just fluff and hang year after year.
Keep it out of sun so it doesn't fall apart or fade, secure it so it doesn't flop around and get beaten up from wind blowing it against wall, door etc..
Jan...You can cover in plastic and hang in closet, basement, or another out of the way place. I store mine in basement closet..works great! May need a little fluffing if you cover but no big deal!
I usually cover mine in a trash bag and hang them on the wall of the garage. You could also cover and lay them flat on a storage shelf. Good luck!
