Best to you.
Hi Marisa, I would take pictures to document the project as it dries. There may have been too much rock used in their mix. Give it a few days and then contact your contractor if it still looks bad. Most contractors will attempt to please their customers so they don't get bad on-line reviews.
If your contractor refuses to take care of the problem there are concrete stains that you can use to even out the color. But that is way too soon to use. Right now you need to keep the concrete wet for a few days. Then let it completely dry. Take daily pictures for your contractor.
Right now, just let it do its thing, don’t mess with it. If you do anything to it while it’s drying and curing, the contractor could easily say it was your fault and not fix it. Concrete is very much a wait and see thing, it takes a while to cure.
Hi! Odds are it is curing. Take pictures and contact the contractor if you are still concerned. It's hard to know without seeing it. Good luck!
If it was poured correctly, it should even out in tone over a bit of time. The rock that is used in concrete contains moisture and depending on if it had rained recently they could have been very moist. They will take longer to dry thus the look of rock spots in the mix as it cures.
28 days is Full Cure on concrete.
Make sure you stay in touch with your flat work contractor.
Hi Marisa, concrete takes a long time to dry and goes through many looks as it completes its processes, do not worry, it will look wonderful once it is fully set.
The spots should fade over time as it cures. Sort of like how paints dries evenly.
