I have a room that was added on to my home, it has 3 exterior walls, and gets condensation on the ceiling due to cold.

A blown in insulation will probably work best. Check with a local insulation contractor for suggestions and insulation. It also depends on the status of a vapor barrier during the build.

If you purchase the insulation that can be blown in, you can "rent" the machine for free. You pay a rental fee and then it's refunded when you return the machine. It's a 2 person job and I wouldn't do it in hot weather. They should have a chart showing how many inches are recommended for your region. If you insulate the attic ceiling, make sure you put up styrofoam channels on the underside of the decking to prevent moisture build up by the insulation rolls.

For finished walls the blown in insulation is the easiest to install. Sounds like it might be a cold ceiling that need insulation. Surprised walls weren't insulated or were they.
