How do I fix a shower handle?

1995 home. Have fixed shower stems a few times in last five years. Stem handle extension kit..It is a Moen.Should we keep replacing each few years or are there other options?

Check with Moen. They might have a lifetime warranty.
If it keeps coming apart you may need to replace it. If that particular piece is still available they may be able to replace the part.
Moen may offer you the option of upgrading to a better designed faucet system. It can't hurt to ask.
So long as sizing is the same, no tile should be affected. You only need surface pieces.
