JoAnn: maybe you'll want to start by calling your town's municipal department.
Unscrew the strainer off your kitchen faucet and clean out the sand in the strainer and soak the faucet head in white vinegar. The vinegar should be in a big plastic bag that can be tied on to the nozzle like a feed bag.
JoAnn....I agree with both Nan and Lifestyles...2 excellent answers!
Do you have a well or municipal services? If you don't have a well, I'd call your water provider and see if anyone else is having an issue or check with your neighbors. If you are on a well there could be a problem with it. Usually a sudden drop in water pressure is something other than your faucet.
I agree with removing the aerator off the faucet first and cleaning it. Wrap a cloth around it and unscrew with a pair of pliers.

If all of the other water pressures in the house are ok, then start wiith the faucet strainer at the end of the faucet., remove it and tap out the mineral buildup, if it has holes in the screen, replace it.
If still low after that, check under the sink to verify that all the valves are open, maybe something bumped or turned them , decreasing the water pressure.
Check the faucet strainer. remove and clean it out. That usually fixed the problem. If not, start looking for a leak.
If you have your own well check your pressure tank.
I absolutely love this, but what if you dont have heat gun ? What could I use ?
