  • Is it the water pressure making the noise?

Is it a pressurized flush or gravity flush? Pressurized flush noise is normal and you would need to replace flush setup. Where is the noise coming from. Might be an inadequate/blocked vent line.

It is the section of the plumbing in the tank that adjusts the water level to be in the tank. I know this because we just replaced both of them in our bathrooms and are joyously enjoying the peace and quiet. The minerals in our water finally, after 34 years, caused them to start howling. Simply go to Home Depot or any other box store and purchase the kits, ours only cost S6.99 per kit, and install them. If you don't know how to work on the plumbing, get a plumber to replace them for you. Good Luck.
