How do I find and open drain tap / vent?
Sewage smell in my house, lately I have noticed I have a sewage smell throughout my home, I cannot seem to locate it, is there anything I can do besides open walls and find if a trap was left open? I did notice on my vent stack there is a vented cap, I noticed that my stack is the only one with this cap..

Do you have a septic or are you on city plumbing?
If.you have any water.drains you don't use,.make.sure and run water down them at least once a month to keep water in the trap. That's why it's there to block sewer gas.
You don’t say if this is a new house, if you just moved in, or if you’ve been in the house for years. The reason I mention this is because, if you’ve been in the house for any length of time it’s unlikely that the cap, or something inside a wall is causing a problem all of a sudden. It is worth a cursory glance at what is visible, then it’s time to call a plumber.
the vent stack is blocked remove cap needs cleared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTJVn3vso8k
