the reason is usually hair. Use a drain trap for hair that covers the drain, clean every shower after a good cleaning with liquid plumber. Or call roto rooter for a mechanical clean out, then use hair trap from then on. I have heard you can use baking soda and vinegar, but don’t know the proportions, or how well it works on badly clogged drains.
Can you snake your drain? You can rent or borrow a snake. Chances are you have a clog some where that needs to be pushed through. In bathtubs, the clogs are typically hair and gunky soap scum. I have an additional screen on my drain to catch most of that stuff so that there are less clogs. As a last resort, call a plumber and have them send the camera down, I always think it is cool to see what is in there - just hope it is not tree roots!

The Easy Way To Unclog Your Drains
Usually it is hair clogging the drain. Unscrew the drain and clean it. Then buy something to put on top the drain to catch the hair. Sorry I can't remember the new. You can find it any where, walmart, target and walgreen. I went online and found turbo snake drain hair removal tool.
You may have to use a plunger to help unstop it.
I pour baking soda down my drains, followed by vinegar which bubbles out muck! Leave mixture in the drain for a few minutes.
If this continues, call the plumber before you ruin a bathroom. When it backs up, it can sometimes overrun the toilet!
Thanks a bunch hun...so nice to know there's an inexpensive approach. Now if only I could find a fix for teenagers as quickly 😁😁😁!!
A pan of boiling hot water may help. Also pour baking soda a cup or 2, followed by 1/2 quart of plain white vinegar. It will bouble like a science experiment.
