Try baking soda and vinegar. Let sit for a few, then flush with hot water.
Try putting about 1/4 cup of baking soda down the drain, then add about 1/2 cup of white vinegar. Let it sit for about 45 minutes and then pour several pots of boiling water down the drain. You might have to do this a couple of times. I put this in my drains every month.
Exactly right, there is no specific ratio, when the bubbling and fizzing is done flush with very hot water.

Sure fire way is to simply remove the pvc trap. By the way, your septic system will not break down food solids processed in the disposal as readily as the effluent it's designed for, causing you problems in the long run. I would suggest you read up on the subject. I have seldom, if ever, used the disposal in my last two homes, as my concern over the very costly replacement of a septic system towers over the convenience of using the disposal!
I'm surprised you have a garbage disposal with a septic system, since in some areas it is prohibited. I personally wouldn't use it on a regular basis.
