How do you repair the small cracks around the bathroom sink drain.
The sink is a 53 year old marble sink.
There is a mixture of baking soda, salt and vinegar (may be apple cider vinegar) I use it.
Start with 1/4 cup of baking soda pour it into the drain, then take 1/2 cup of white vinegar and pour that down the drain and let it react ( it will foam up ) then rinse with the hottest water you can get, or boil some on the stove and pour that to flush the vinegar and baking soda and the crud it has loosened up down the drain. Run some more water until all the V & BS is gone and you have clean drains and pipes. The vinegar and baking soda will not harm the septic system or the micro organisms that process the waste in the septic tank.
I also cover the drain with a damp cloth pressing with my hand after adding the vinegar. The pressure will push the clog though.
