I used a kit on my bathtub and sink. The bathtub was very easy; worked like a charm. The sink I kept having to add the filler, then sand, then fill again (and again). I think the pit was just too many layers. Also, be careful of color choice. If your sink is off white and you choose white it's going to show.

The sink is not cracked, just the porcelain coating. Don’t let this go because the crack will allow water to seep through the crack, and onto the cast iron below. If this happens the cast iron will rust and cause other cracks and chips. Buy one of the kits for repairing this, or hire a professional to fix it. The only thing is that they are expensive.
