I have never regretted spending the $ to buy a tankless water heater! I had a 40 gallon electric water heater before, it cost me $60 a month to run. Now my electric bill is much lower, and in the summer, when I'm not using gas for heat, my gas bill is the minimum monthly charge. I love being able to take long hot showers, and fill the tub all the way to the top with hot water, while running the dishwasher and doing laundry at the same time. Make sure you get one that has the capacity to feed at least 3 users at once!
