Is there a way to stop loud garden hose noise?

There is a continuous, loud humming sound when you turn on the hose outside.
Any Ideas?

It's possible the washer in the faucet may be worn out. You may not hear the hum with just the faucet turned on, but the hose amplifies the sound. http://www.familyhandyman.com/plumbing/faucet-repair/how-to-repair-a-noisy-outdoor-faucet/view-all

You could have a pressure release attached to your faucet. My plumber installed one on my outdoor faucet and it makes a humming noise. I removed mine, it cuts down on the water flow quite a bit. All it does is to release the pressure on your hoses when you turn off the water.
