Leaking faucet- help!

Very old no ID. Shut off water bit am too old and weak to muscle fauce off. Take end of faucet to hardware store and beg for help???

I would check your local area for people that help seniors. Check your local senior center, etc for recommendations.
If it's just a washer, that's an easy fix. But if it's way more than that, if the faucet is very old, and needs a lot of repair, consider having a new one installed by a plumber or handyman. I say this because plumbers often work by the hour, and installing a whole new faucet can be done in the time it takes to fix a very old one. Just make sure they install a good quality faucet.
It is worth seeing if there's a senior citizen repair help in your town or church. If not, maybe the hardware store can give you a recommendation what course of action to take, or the names of some local handyman/plumbers who are reliable.
