I had a backyard pool and every year when it was time to open it, I always removed the previous years sand from the sand chamber and added new. You also may want to invest in a new gauge that's attached to the sand chamber which will give you the water intake pressure.
when efficient water pressure, your gauge should read 17-20 or higher.
You don't mention what kind of filter you are using,so don't know how to help you. For all my pool questions I go to www.troublefreepool.com
Hopefully you can find some useful info there.
Are you backwashing? If this or the above doesn’t work go to a pool store and explain what is going on. Good luck - marie
I'm thrilled it helped you. Hopefully you are getting to enjoy your pool now!
Yes. It's finally less confusion and more fun. A whopping thanks again Carol!!!
