For a temporary fix you can use a two part epoxy putty like JB Weld.

I used duct tape on a leak in our kitchen drain pipe. It lasted until we replaced the sink and pipes 6 months later.

They sell a shark bite kit which goes over the pipe to repair a hole. You will need a pipe cutter also. Pricey for the size of it but easier than a plumber. A photo attached. Good luck

Split a section of rubber hose, you want the inner diameter of hose to be the outer diameter of the pipe. Make it bigger than the split in the pipe. Split the length of the hose and put it over the pipe so that the split is in the middle. Clamp where the hole is with a hose clamp that is put on tight. In a turn of the century house we were renting, the management company would take days to repair leaks in the basement. It got to where we repaired them ourselves. We had one repaired this way for about five years before we moved out. Even the inspectors never said anything about that repair. We constantly seemed to have pin holes in the copper pipes down in the basement. Thank god it wasn't a finished basement and everything down their was stored in containers!
