Toilet tank sweating! Any ideas?

I've noticed since the weather got warm that my toilet tank is sweating. In the winter it didn't do this and in the spring it seemed like it did a little. But now it's constantly wet, enough that it drips on the floor! It's not leaking, I checked. It's literally condensation on the tank. Any ideas what I can do?

there are Styrofoam inserts that can be used. never used them myself, but this might do the trick.
Put some food coloring in the tank to make sure its not leaking. If its not I would put a fan in there to move the air around or a dehumidifer.
The sweating is due to the moisture in the air meeting the cooler surface of the toilet tank.... you have too much humidity in your house... Most home heating and cooling units (except evaporation/swamp coolers) have a de-humidifier as part of the system.... I will bet that you have not been using the heat... and have not yet started using the AC... so the humidity in the house is higher right now..... get a de-humidifier to remove the extra moisture from your home... and the toilet sweating should stop.
As long as the temperature is warmer in the house than the water coming into the toilet, it will sweat, just like a glass of ice water sweats when you take it outside or anywhere warmer than the liquid in the glass.

Hi Gina - if u check You Tube - a guy called Shell Busey - he explains how to line your water tank with foam to stop this issue - seems u have to drain your tank / clean the sides / - then let it dry by putting a light bulb inside it for 12 hours !!! Then use the foam which is stuck to the base and sides !! Good luck honey !! Regards Annette
