I do not want to use any harmful chemicals in my drains, and have already tried the baking soda and vinegar and plunging with no luck. Anyone have any other ideas to unclog my bathroom sink? Thanks

  • First call a plumber to clear the drains. Then you can purchase "enzymes" to be used monthly to help them from getting clogged again.

I have also used dawn and hot water. It may take a little time to clear, and you may have to do it again, but it usually works for me. I also use vinegar and baking soda.

Since you tried the soda/vinegar and plunging and it didn't work the clog is further down the line. Call a plumber and have him rod it out.

Try a drain snake. Bathroom drains tend get clogged with hair and this will pull it back out. Sink drai, try removing the trap and flushing it out. That and the plunger type stoppers usually are where it gets caught. Then try these other remedies to flush out residual

    soap scum in the pipes.

Now that it's running again it's a good idea to do the baking soda and peroxide at least once a month or so as a preventative. Another thing that works well as a preventative or for slow running drains is coke a cola soda. It's very acidic and helps break up any gunk in the drain.
