I don't see why you couldn't. You will probably want to take it down to do the repair. I would also tape it up and let it sit until you are 100% sure it has completely dried.
I highly recommend a product called Bondini. You can get it at Lowes home centers, and it permently glues almost everything, including porous items. I repaired a wooden drawer with it about 20 years ago, and it is still holding strong. This is the best stuff ever! But if you can't find Bondini, there is a Gorilla glue product that will repair glass, porcelain, pottery, etc.
E6000 will not work. Go to a model airplane store or an auto store and buy REAL CA glue. Not the kind the dollar store sells as Super Glue. You can also get it at a granite place. This glue will stick to anything.

I've repaired items using E-6000. The key is to apply the glue to both pieces, wait several minutes and then join them together and applying pressure and perhaps clamping them together for a longer period of time if possible. Take your time joining the two pieces after applying the glue!

JB Weld is a good glue and the E6000 as well - if it is glass you would need a different type glue

I would take it down and use a durable glue like E6000. Maybe use clamps or painters tape to keep it tight while it is trying.

You can use steel weld putty for the metal and super glue for the glass.

Without seeing a pic, the best glue you can get is a 2 part epoxy. Gluing area must be clean and that type of glue works well on most things Good Luck
